Two Los Gatos businesses expand in Downtown Morgan Hill

Los Gatos-based businesses Enoteca La Storia and Oak & Rye are both expanding in Morgan Hill. Oak & Rye will open The Silos, a full-service restaurant and bar, at the newly constructed 1,464-square-foot restaurant space tucked behind the iconic 45-foot-tall silos, historical remnants from the original granary operation. Enoteca La Storia plans to open its wine shop called Ancora Vino in Downtown Morgan Hill at 17337 Monterey Rd., the current Murphy’s Mercantile Store. Ancora Vino will be a 2,200-square-foot retail wine shop and tasting room offering 150 wines under $25 and ten different wine clubs.

Lease signed at Butterfield 5 building #1

Pinnacle Exhibits an existing Morgan Hill employer is expanding and has leased the 85,456 square foot Building 1 at the Butterfield 5 Technology Park.  Pinnacle Exhibits creates activations, exhibits, environments, and events for businesses looking to build their brand and connect to their audience in live and interact ways.  Pinnacle has outgrown their existing space at 18420 Sutter Blvd and will be relocating their business operations when the tenant improvements are complete at the Butterfield 5 site.  Pinnacle is headquartered in Hillsborough, Oregon with operations in Los Angeles, Chicago, Raleigh-Durham and Morgan Hill. They employ approximately 60 full-time employees in Morgan Hill.

Train services expand in South County

Caltrain, the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA), and the Cities of Gilroy and Morgan Hill are thrilled to announce a significant enhancement to the weekday Caltrain service that will further strengthen the transportation network for South County residents. Starting Monday, September 25, a fourth train will be introduced to the Gilroy/Morgan Hill morning and evening weekday service, offering commuters greater flexibility and convenience when traveling by Caltrain.

Independent hotel resumes Downtown construction

Independent hotel resumes Downtown construction

Hotel MOHI is a full-service luxury hotel in the heart of Downtown Morgan Hill on First Street and Monterey Road. Construction of the hotel was forced to stop during the COVID Pandemic due to tightening of lending markets. In 2022, to make the project more financially viable, the hotel was redesigned to accommodate a partial fifth floor and 13 additional rooms, for a total of 73 rooms. The MOHI hotel will include a spa, meeting facilities, and a market-hall restaurant. Hotel construction will resume shortly and is scheduled to be completed by December 2025.
