Looking for a way to beat the heat this summer? The Morgan Hill Aquatics Center offers aqua fitness, swim lessons, lap and recreation swim. There’s even an 18-hole mini golf course onsite for when you need a water break. Grab your towels, chairs, floaties and head over to enjoy recreation swim on Tuesday-Friday from 1p-4p and weekends from 1p-5p.
When Dan McCranie decided to build an art gallery in Downtown Morgan Hill, he made clear he wanted none of the white walls and sharp lines found in traditional galleries. Instead, he mixed materials, shapes, colors and used mass-timber to design a building that in itself is a piece of art. Cura Contemporary Art Gallery exhibits both emerging and mid-career artists from the Bay Area and beyond in an open and engaging environment. Representing a large variety of styles and mediums, the featured artwork gives a fresh perspective and often has a deep connection to process and materiality. In addition to thoughtfully curated exhibitions, the gallery will host artist workshops, unique culinary experiences, and special events. It is truly a space where culture, community, and hospitality are blended and celebrated.

Representatives from 15 local governments nationwide, ranging from Arizona to Maryland, will convene in Morgan Hill at the end of January as part of the International City/County Management Association’s (ICMA) 2024 Economic Mobility Cohort. ICMA is the leading organization of local government professionals dedicated to creating and sustaining thriving communities throughout the world.

As we close out another busy year, the Economic Development team would like to wish all of our businesses a happy and prosperous holiday season. We are grateful for the community’s support of the Downtown Street Activations, the Buy Local Holiday Shopping Passport, and engagement during our business roundtable meetings. This final newsletter of the 2023 year captures just a few of our most recent accomplishments. Caltrain, the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA), and the Cities of Gilroy and Morgan Hill are thrilled to announce a significant enhancement to the weekday Caltrain service that will further strengthen the transportation network for South County residents. Starting Monday, September 25, a fourth train will be introduced to the Gilroy/Morgan Hill morning and evening weekday service, offering commuters greater flexibility and convenience when traveling by Caltrain.
