Shop Small Saturday on November 25

According to the Small Business Saturday Consumer Insights Survey commissioned by American Express, reported projected spending among U.S. consumers who shopped at independent retailers and restaurants on Small Business Saturday reached an estimated $17.9 billion in 2022.

There are approximately 32 million independent businesses nationwide, employing nearly 61.7 million people. Small businesses are the backbone of your communities, and with 19.6% of small businesses failing in the first year and only 34.5% surviving past 10 years, they need all the support they can get. Founded by American Express in 2010 and officially cosponsored by SBA since 2011, Small Business Saturday has become an important part of small businesses’ busiest shopping season. Take the pledge to Shop Small on Saturday November 25 and support local small business owners all season long.

Pinnacle Exhibits an existing Morgan Hill employer is expanding and has leased the 85,456 square foot Building 1 at the Butterfield 5 Technology Park.  Pinnacle Exhibits creates activations, exhibits, environments, and events for businesses looking to build their brand and connect to their audience in live and interact ways.  Pinnacle has outgrown their existing space at 18420 Sutter Blvd and will be relocating their business operations when the tenant improvements are complete at the Butterfield 5 site.  Pinnacle is headquartered in Hillsborough, Oregon with operations in Los Angeles, Chicago, Raleigh-Durham and Morgan Hill. They employ approximately 60 full-time employees in Morgan Hill.

Train services expand in South County

Caltrain, the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA), and the Cities of Gilroy and Morgan Hill are thrilled to announce a significant enhancement to the weekday Caltrain service that will further strengthen the transportation network for South County residents. Starting Monday, September 25, a fourth train will be introduced to the Gilroy/Morgan Hill morning and evening weekday service, offering commuters greater flexibility and convenience when traveling by Caltrain.

Shop 50+ South County makers and enjoy live music from Undercover 80’s, Lavender Fields, and the Mitchell James Band. Join us on 3rd street later that same evening at 8 p.m. for a FREE outdoor movie night featuring "Cars!" We are “revving up” for free-family friendly fun in Downtown Morgan Hill.
