Concurrently, the Governor created the California Jobs First Council to support workforce and economic development by creating rapid family-supporting job growth in prime industries.

$164 million in tax credits are available during the next California Competes Tax Credit (CCTC) application period starting Tuesday, January 2, 2024. An application guide, Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), program regulations, and a downloadable version of the webinar presentation can be found HERE. Participating business members enjoy periodic recognition in promotional materials and on social media, resulting in opportunities for increased patronage, and a greater connection to the cycling and pedestrian community. The program is free to join and aims to connect local businesses with the Morgan Hill bicycling and pedestrian community.

On August 31, the California Commission on Disability Access (CCDA) in partnership with the City of San Jose, will host a Listening Forum called, “Breaking Barriers: Disability Compliance at Businesses to Improve Access for All.” Local businesses, government, and individuals with disabilities are invited to attend and discuss how to increase access to local business for people with disabilities. This event is intended to foster dialogue and collaboration to create a more accessible and inclusive region for all.
