The Festival Star is the Mushroom

The Festival Star is the Mushroom

By Brittney Sherman

Morgan Hill has long held the reputation of “Mushroom Capital of the World,” a title rooted in its vibrant and longstanding mushroom farming heritage. For 42 years the Morgan Hill Mushroom Festival has organized a 2-day festival on Memorial weekend, attracting thousands of visitors to the City to dine, dance, shop, and learn more about fungi. This year festival goers can:

-Venture over to the Rose Garden to get the full mushroom experience including cooking demos, health benefits, growing techniques, and even purchase a growing kit to test their green thumb.

-Visit food vendors showcasing Mushroom dishes from stuffed, sautéed, sandwiched, deep fried and grilled. Adventurous adults are encouraged to try the Mushroom Beer!

-Dance, or at least tap a foot, to live music on three different stages.

-Shop from 150+ unique and boutique vendors.
