Perfect weather? Lots of great recreational opportunities? Whatever is on your list, Morgan Hill is sure to check the boxes.

Housing

A place for everyone

We’ve got a variety of housing options–from large estates with vineyards to a large percentage of affordable units – with over 1000 affordable/low income apartments and more than 500 homes in our program for affordable home ownership. Morgan Hill is proud to be a leader in affordable housing (one in eight homes is affordable by restriction) and in water conservation and agricultural land preservation.

Recreation

Get out and enjoy the outdoors

Morgan Hill enjoys more than 300 days of sunshine and an average temperature near 70 degrees – and that means year-round recreational opportunities. With state-of-the art recreational facilities such as the Aquatics Center, the Outdoor Sports Center and the Centennial Recreation Center, Morgan Hill attracts regional sporting events and festivals bringing over 1 million visitors annually.

As the home to Specialized Bicycle Components, Morgan Hill has a passionate and deep-seated bike culture that has made it a favorite destination for serious and recreational cyclists alike. Golf enthusiasts can tee off at the Jack Nicklaus designed Coyote Creek Golf Club, or at the award winning golf resort Rosewood CordeValle, designed by acclaimed outdoorsman/golf enthusiast Robert Trent Jones, Jr. Find more tourism and recreation resources at Visit Morgan Hill.

Vibrant downtown

A dining and entertainment mecca

Our historic downtown offers charming boutiques, interesting public art (like a 10x10 tarantula), a year-round farmers’ market, and special events and festivals that attract over 250,000 visitors each year. Popular events such as the Mushroom Mardi Gras, Morgan Hill Blues Festival, the Fourth of July Parade, FREE Friday Night Music Series and the Taste of Morgan Hill are family favorites. You can take part in your choice of art walks, brew crawls and wine strolls, or attend live theatre and dinner shows throughout the year.

In just the span of a few blocks, Downtown Morgan Hill offers more than 25 unique dining options and watering holes, from a local-favorite Bánh mì stand to our upscale restaurants such as the famed Ladera Grill, winner of the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence four years in a row!
